Meditation helps us destress by calming our heart and mind, thereby opening us up to the peace and joy that are within. This inner peace and joy is our true nature, our true higher Self. Whether you are new to meditation, have some experience in it, or are a seasoned meditator, we are here to support your spiritual journey to Self-Realization. Even if you don't feel you need any help with your meditations, meditating in a group creates a magnetic force that can help us go deeper.
We also offer hatha yoga classes in Ananda Yoga, which are suitable for everyone. Ananda Yoga is more than just exercise for the body, it is also a spiritual practice. It is gentle and highly effective, helping you to feel relaxed, revitalized, and uplifted - and it’s an invaluable aid to deeper meditation.
Ananda Cincinnati (www.anandacincinnati.org) follows and shares the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, the first yoga master to take up permanent residence in the west. He came to America in the 1920's to highlight the common thread in the underlying essence of all spiritual paths. The path of Kriya yoga stresses the necessity of devotion and love for God in combination with scientific techniques of meditation in order to realize our highest Self - to realize that indeed "The Kingdom of God is within".
