Santosha: Awakening Inner Contentment

Practicing Santosha, feeling the awakened "inner smile" of contentment in all activities, is called by the ancient Indian text the Mahabharata "the highest heaven." Yoga teaches that we can consistently experience ease of mind and even radiant happiness right now- not in a postponed future or fantasy. We may sense this was true for yogis of old, but wonder: how in our restless age, does one begin to attain this state, let alone sustain it over time? In this meeting, we will explore how yogic meditation and an "attitude of gratitude" can help us begin to open the
door to the freedom and joy of inner contentment. In this way, we can cooperate with, grow, and thrive through the rhythms and changes in our lives. Using the scientifically proven techniques of the great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda, we will practice methods that lead to a deep sense of well being. Feeling increased lightness within during the holidays, we can give and receive love more freely, and remember "the reason for the season."smile

All spiritual affiliations of non are welcome! No experience is required!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
