The yoga master Paramhansa Yoganada once said "To seek happiness outside ourselves is like trying to lasso a cloud. Happiness is not a thing: It is a state of mind. It must be lived." Continuing where we left off last week, we will focus on yogic teachings, including meditation, that can help us choose to feel happy and centered, regardless of outer circumstances, and also avoid "happiness thieves." More than just a series of techniques, this practice can take you to the heart of inner strength, stillness, and joy at the center of your being. Like wiping the dirt off a stained glass window, yogic meditation polishes off the "dust" that obscures the light of the heart. In this way, one's true radiance, color, and beauty can shine from the inside-out.
Using Yogananada's powerful and scientifically proven teachings, you will learn ways to bring peace to your inner and outer world. In this way, we can feel more loving, relaxed, and patient with ourselves- and others.
