All Day Christmas Meditation

This tradition was begun by Yogananda and has become the heart of Ananda’s Christmas season. It is a day dedicated to communion with Christ Consciousness—a profound opportunity for an inner experience of the Divine. Though its length may seem intimidating, you may be surprised at how easily the soul welcomes long periods of deep quiet. Chanting, music, and inspirational readings and recordings carry you along. The eight hours literally fly by. The more people who come to meditate together, the stronger the support for deep meditation.

If you are unable to participate for the full day, the schedule below has suggested times for entering or leaving.

It is difficult to describe the myriad of special blessings that come from participating in this Christmas Meditation.

Parking: There is a parking lot on Prosser (behind Rancho Park Pharmacy) just north of Pico which has about 20 all-day spots for $2.50

Please note there will be chanting breaks on the hour so please only enter or exit during those times. We encourage you to get there early around 9:30am and bring all of your meditation gear (earplugs, headphones, pillows, shawls, etc.).

There will be light snacks (fruit, nuts), water, and, tea provided.

Don't feel intimidated by the length- you can come on the hour and only for part as little or long at the gathering as you feel to!
