“The happiness of one's own heart alone cannot satisfy the soul; one must try to include, as necessary to one's own happiness, the happiness of others.”- Paramhansa Yogananda
Can we share of our heart with others without "losing" ourselves? Yoga, perhaps the greatest gift of ancient India, teaches that there is a way to do just that- with inner freedom, lightness, and joy.
This week we will explore ways that we can expand our hearts and minds to include other people realities- while still maintaining our own inner center and truth. This powerful practice of yogic meditation can allow us to "plug into the source" of innate joy in the center of our being- which in turn, we can share with those around us with "no strings attached." Making space for others in our hearts is vast, challenging, and rewarding. Yet, yoga, patiently and compassionately, allows us to move from the loneliness of separation to expansive connectedness- one of the clearest paths to true lasting happiness.
More than mere techniques, yogic lifestyle is a holistic way to find harmony in spirit, relationships, body, mind, and vocation. Based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, we will learn how to meet life's challenges with a greater ability to grow, laugh, and even love.
