"At the center of life's storms I stand serene."- Swami Kriyananda
Feeling an awakened "inner smile" of contentment in the midst all activities, is called by the ancient Indian text the Mahabharata "the highest heaven." Yoga teaches that we can consistently experience ease of mind and even radiant happiness right now- not in a postponed future or fantasy. We may sense this was true for advanced yogis of old, but wonder: how in our restless age, does one begin to attain this state, let alone sustain it over time?
In this meeting, we will explore how yogic meditation, an "attitude of gratitude," and re-directting our energy can help us begin to open the
door to the freedom and joy of inner contentment. In this way, we can be receptive, grow, and thrive through the rhythms and changes in our lives. Using the scientifically proven techniques of the great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda, we will practice methods that lead to a deep sense of well being.
