Meditation & Devotion

"Love is the light that dissolves all walls between souls, families and nations." -Paramhansa Yogananda

Meditation practice while opening our hearts can expand our perception to experience a more vast and loving state of being- the "state of yoga" or "union."  Like viewing a beautiful vista through and above an impenetrable jungle of trees, the yogi can see far beyond the peripheral horizon of ordinary worries into the mighty reality of the One. Rather than taking us downwards to more unhappiness, seeing through the lens of the spirit affords us an airborne awareness of joy- which begins with the upward focus of the heart's energy.

In this meeting, we will explore ways to open and expand the light of the heart to experience to feel the kind of joy yogis have experienced and described for thousands of years.

Based on the teachings of the great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda, you will learn powerful and scientifically proven techniques to bring peace to your inner and outer world.

All spiritual affiliations or none are welcome and no experience is required!

This meetup is part of a series of ongoing weekly meditation group meetings at this location.

We are a non-profit group but donations are always welcome! (suggested donation of 5-10 dollars but nobody turned away for lack of funds)

If you would like to volunteer in any way, i.e: bringing snacks, help set of clean up, that would be wonderful! Please contact Paul any time.

LOCATION NOTES: Plenty of FREE PARKING around the block

Another wonderful weekly session, with guest leader Brook Cassady doing a great job leading, and a birthday celebration/cake for Jim. Spirituality and sweets; what more could you ask?

You can't go wrong with any of the discussion leaders in this group - they all have clear, direct, and applicable wisdom, energizing yoga postures that anyone can do, and a peaceful vibe. I always feel better after this meetup.
