Embracing Oneness: Non-injury

Swami Kriyananda once wrote: "Spiritually, a harmful attitude separates one from the harmony and oneness of life. Non-injury, on the other hand, embraces that oneness, and is in turn sustained by it."

Recognizing that universal oneness within all beings, yoga teaches that the heart ultimately receives back what it gives out and that an attitude of non-injury is an essential foundation for sustained living in harmony with ourselves and with others.
At the same time, meditation practice helps one to stay grounded within so that it's possible to have healthy energy boundaries that allow personal growth, rather than contraction of impenetrable walls, with those one loves.

Reducing stress and refreshing your mind, body, and spirit will also allow you to feel more relaxed, patient and kind toward yourself and others. In turn, it's much easier to feel the deeper meaning of the word "namaste."

All are welcome and no experience is required!

This meetup is the first in an ongoing, weekly series of meditation group
meetings at this location.

We are a non-profit group and donations are always welcome. If you would like to volunteer in any way, ie: snacks, tea, help clean up, etc.. that would be wonderful!

A great exchange of thoughts on non-injury and centering group energy in the meditation tonight- left feeling very grateful and calm!

This subject often gets overlooked yet it's a universal teaching that leads to inner peace and connectedness- it's going to be a great topic for tonight's gathering!

Ahimsa, "non-injury," is a bedrock teaching of yoga, and with regular awareness/practice, can increasingly attract like-minded kinder energy within/without that allows one to radiate a strong yet peaceful aura.
