"I hold my thoughts up to the calmness within; in calmness I receive inspiration from my higher self."- Swami Kriyananda
We had a truly wonderful surprise visit by Swami Kriyananda this past Wed and I was reminded in the talk he shared, which echoed his writing on Inspiration
about the "sudden appearance of new thoughts, or new insights from the superconscious" - which yoga teaches can come much clearer and quicker with regular meditation practice.
This coming Wednesday, we will explore meditation as a very powerful tool to continually receive inspiration to live a full and authentic life
. In my own experience, a regular practice has increasingly become a portable "compass" I can use to find guidance and solutions in situations that would have otherwise confounded me. At the same time, meditaton has been a priceless means to "peel off the artichoke layers" of "thought-stuff" that doesn't work anymore, allowing the natural joyful expression from my "heart" to "speak"- its so simple and beautiful! I dare say that I have not felt this "in touch" with the center of my being since I was a young child.
Whether you're brand new or it's been a while since visited our meditations, please know you're always
welcome any time to join us.
Hope to see you Wed!
