Up for some low level movement? Tryon Creek State Park encompasses 645 acres in the middle of urban southwest Portland. According to 100 Classic Hikes in Oregon, the best time to visit is early to mid April when thousands of white trillium are in bloom. We'll be doing an easy to moderate 2.1 mile loop, which will involve the Maple Ridge, Middle Creek, Cedar and Old Main trails. Here's a map of all of their trails. Children are welcome. Dogs are too. The Park requires dogs be on a leash.
Let's meet in front of the Nature Center. There is a large parking lot once you turn off of Terwilliger.
