For several years now, Durga Fuller of The Cook Awakening has been holding monthly Paleo potlucks at her southeast Portland home through the local Weston A. Price chapter. She has graciously allowed us to join in. Please also RSVP directly to Durga at [masked] so she knows how many to expect. She will then email you her address. Plan to bring enough food for about a dozen people. Everyone usually arrives throughout the 11:00am to 12:00pm hour and then starts eating around noon.
At Durga's potlucks I've met some fascinating people doing exciting things in our community such as:
Steve Tinsky and John Tompson, who created Wild Mountain Paleo Market, an online Amazon-style store that carries only Paleo products
Terry and Vicki Hsu, former leaders of the Portland Weston A. Price Foundation chapter, who get raw, unpasteurized cow milk through a herd share and are now starting their own farm in Salem
Deb, who is starting to experiment with duck aquaponics
Caroline Kelly, a JV AmeriCorps volunteer working as a Food Justice Coordinator helping to improve access to fresh, local food.
