It’s Springtime, y’all! And, St Patty’s Day, or “Bring Back the Snakes” Day, as a dear friend calls it. And, Lent. Can we put all these together into a theme? Why not! Think green, fresh, Irish, and letting go of what no longer serves. Choose a part or all of the theme, just make it delicious.  No grains or refined sugars, please!

For several years now, Durga Fuller of The Cook Awakening has been holding monthly Paleo potlucks at her southeast Portland home through the local Weston A. Price chapter. Each month has a different theme. Plan to bring enough food for about a dozen people. Everyone usually arrives throughout the 11:00am to 12:00pm hour and then starts eating around noon. Children are welcome!

Fun time, y'all! And, someone left a size large, black, neoprene like "zeroXposur" jacket. Belong to someone here?

I'm so sorry to cancel, I made this green soup and was all excited, then in the middle of last night I had a very unusual intestinal reaction and I'm going to get in touch with my Dr. now, not sure whats going on but I definitely think I should stay home today and figure this out, hopefully it'll be ok. Will miss you. Thanks

Thanks, I haven't gotten in touch with main Dr. so I'm going to go to a walk in clinic, just better to be safe and have it all checked.

Just an update, my Dr. got back to me and I feel less concerned now, so I'm just going to have broth and take it easy. If something changes then I'll go from there but I'm letting it sit out for now. Thanks

Hi all - in the interest of full disclosure, we have sore throats in the house. The potluck is on, but you should feel into how your immune system is doing, and take whatever support measures you see fit if you decide to come. Hopefully see you soon!

Sorry for flaking out at the last minute- I was really looking forward to this event. I hope you all have fun, and I'll see you at the next one!

I'm debating between zucchini chips or zucchini bread with coconut flour...

Yes-a poll indeed! Any other votes? P.s. I can make it with blanched almond flour instead for our friends with coconut sensitivities:-)

Well, I have a harder time with the almond flour than the coconut, but truth is, I don't eat eggs or any sweeteners other than stevia or yacon, either, so way probably wouldn't work for me. I'm used to skipping what doesn't work for my body, though, so make what feels like fun for you!

I will continue to use the excuse that I just moved here to say that my kitchen isn't quite ready for primetime (I expect this excuse to be valid for at least one more month). So instead I will be bringing something from the store, such as real sauerkraut or kimchi.

I really want to make it to this potluck! I have it on my calendar, and I'm hoping to bring my 19 year old daughter. I have to figure out what she thinks. I have no clue, what I'm going to bring, but I'll figure it out tomorrow, when I go to the grocery store.

Just realized St Patty's day is the Monday after - I'll make a corned beef and cabbage - or at least a nice fatty brisket.

Perfect! And, it turns out the other two girls will not be there this time, they're in New Zealand. My boys will be there, though, and they're very friendly. ;)

I'll be bringing a No-Potato Potato Salad in honor of St. Patty's Day!

We'll be there with my sister!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
