I am interested in all aspects of the human ancestral diet especially the diets of Homo sapiens just prior to the advent of agriculture, 10,000 years ago. I am an avid reader of history, and lately I have been reading more and more about the Paleolithic period usually from paleoanthropology books, some from world history.
My wife and I cook Paleo dishes derived from Sarah Fragoso's, Loren Cordain's, and Chrissy Gower's cookbooks. We incorporate running and weightlifting at the gym with the diet.
We'd like to attend talks, potlucks, discussion group sessions, etc. It's a great way to build the Paleo community in Portland.
I studied history at Portland State University. I have been very interested in paleoanthropology and biological evolution as of late. I read voraciously, cook Paleo dishes, weight lift, bike to work, and play guitar.
