I moved to Anchorage in 2011. I haven't lived in a city for a while, but I grew up in a wonderfully diverse one. I would love to connect with folks that want to explore the city or explore the country. Not into bars or smoking.
"I like coffee shops but I don't drink coffee. Bookstores are my guilty pleasure. When the sun comes out I have been known to behave like a lizard. I love National Parks, exploring, hiking, walking, backpacking, skiing, and more!"

Vicki - I have some waxable backcountry skis you could borrow. They don't have metal edges and are probably 180 - 185 cm. I'm not exactly sure. They use NNN bindings (not BC). Do you have poles?

Hi Vicki and welcome to the group! :)
Welcome to the bookclub Vicki! We have the reading list for this year, so look it over. The book The book for March is Remembering Babylon by David Malouf. A shipwrecked British cabin boy is raised by Australian Aborigines.A quietly masterful tale from Australia's colonial past, depicting the savage and painful nuances of racism evoked when a white youth raised by aborigines returns to his own people. We will meet at the end of March and discuss it.
Hey Vicki you never did tell me where you are from in rural UT? My wife and I are moving to Grand Junction, CO real soon so we are making as many connections as we can in western Colorado and eastern UT.
Ha ha ha, yup, Corona Arch baby!
