Hi Harmony! I'm sure you will have an amazing time exploring the beaches and tide pools. There are also plenty of parks, and a new bounce and play indoor area. The library has a story time and there are plenty of incredible trails. I can't think of the hiking group's name but they do one trail every weekend. Its a great way to get introduced to the trails by someone who knows them. The visitors center will know the name of the group. Have fun!

I'd LOVE to devote some real time to this endeavor. I've been thinking about creating something for my own children and this is right up our alley! I have checked out the Children in Nature network. I actually was part of the MOA team that helped to initiate the movement here in Anchorage, particularly the working summit. Great resource!
I am VERY interested in the Forrest Preschool idea for Anchorage! I am currently a stay at home mom with an MS in Outdoor and Environmental Ed. I'd love to chat more about this with others interested! I'd write more if this allowed : )

Yea!! I'm glad to get a nice base layer for Delia. I am not sure if I can make the next skedadle. We have people coming to fix a floor on Tuesday. It depends when they get here. We been busy getting the condo ready but hopefully we be at either a skedadle or a hike soon.
