I started this group because I wasn't getting responses from the other groups and they didn't seem to actually meet up. I'm a SAHM, ex- English teacher for middle and high school. We transplanted from California and we are vegan hippies.
I am free most of the time. My husband works a two week on/ two week off slope schedule, so when he is home we have more family time, but that also means I have more personal free time. Days of the week mean very little to me though.
My daughter turned one on August 8th
We have a swim class on Tuesday 12:30-1, but other than that we are open. We have dinner around 6-6:30, so before then.
zoo, Arctic Playgroundz, imaginarium, homes, hiking trails and parks, lakes lakes lakes (I have a water baby)
I'd love to do some pot luck-type events, but because we don't eat meat or dairy I know that can be a bit difficult for some people. Also, I'd really like to see a book group come out of this, but haven't had any luck with that yet.

Crunchy granola?? No! Not you! Lol. How are ya?
Hey Erin
We will totally be there. I have a bunch of white t-shirts that would be great for "the craft" if you want I can bring them. I can bring a big green salad made with yummy greens and veggies from my CSA share out here in the valley too. Im up for helping out with food, so let me know if you need anything.
I'll definitely be checking out the other mom groups too! What part of town do you reside in? We're in Chugiak :) so usually we don't go alllll the way to anchorage unless something awesome is happening ;P
Thank you for the welcome! I'd love to get together with our kiddos! Jude turns two on June 29th, and I think he would love having a little girl-friend ;) I also hope to make it out to some potlucks in the future, was bummed to miss the picnic today!!
Hey Erin, Thanks so much for the muffins you brought to Z's playdate. They were delicious. I'd love to get the recipe.
ciao, gailyn
Hi Erin, thank you for the welcome! Look forward to meeting you!
Im so glad to hear that he was nice. Lanie said that another boy pushed him and made him cry. He is still talking about it so it made a big impression. He is talking about Violet too though. He was happy to see you guys.
Thanks Erin! We are looking forward to the move and getting to know some Anchorage families!
Hi Erin,
I was just looking over some of your events, and was seriously, way interested in the book club. But I couldn't tell if you will be discussing Like Water for Elephants at the next mtg. or reading it in April?
Yep I can host.. :)
