Flattop and beyond

This is short notice, I know, but if anyone wants to join me for a run up Flattop, feel free to meet me at the Glen Alps parking area (look for my red truck) at 5:00 pm.  I haven't been out to Glen Alps this year, and I'm feeling the urge to run around out there a bit.

I plan to run up Flattop, then continue on the ridgeline to Peak 2 & 3, then back down to the valley just before Ptarmigan Peak and return via the powerline.  The distance isn't that far, but there will be some elevation gain.  This is the reverse of a run I tried to do this past winter.  I'm open to other options in the area as well.

If no one esle RSVPs by 3:00pm, I might change my mind and do something different, so please RSVP by 3:00 so I know you are coming.

Happy 4th!

Thanks, I heard there is a nice trail on the South Fork of the Eagle River that takes you to Eagle Lake. I think I will try that. Are there any other organized runs this Sat of Sun, or coming up.

Thanks, Mike, but I'll just meet you there. I'm currently on Ft Richardson and will be exploring some more of the area after the run.

Are there any runs this weekend in the Eagle River area. I am visiting my son and from California.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I'll probably have to do the $5 today, but will definitely get a season pass after this.

It's possible I could pick you up and drop you off somewhere. If you're interested in that, then let me know where you're at. Meeting at the parking lot is fine too.

Jon - Welcome to Anchorage. So you're aware, there is a $5 parking fee for the Glen Alps parking lot. You can also buy a year pass to all the Chugach trailheads for $40 at various places such as REI.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
