Second Installment - Friday Beer Run

Last week was fun, let's try the running + beer combo again!

To uphold the tradition started last week, I'm again torn about the route, the length, as well as the start time, so need some feedback. New to this Friday: If demand exists, we will have two pace groups that will meet up post-run for the tasty beverage portion of the event. Please post whether you're a tortoise or a hare so I can gauge what sort of crowd to expect and (poorly) plan for.

One idea:

Same starting point - Abbott Loop Park @ Elmore and Coventry - traveling a spur-of-the-moment route that is hopefully less muddy as last week and sans downpour. Since I see no reason to mess with perfection, we'd then caravan to Midnight Sun, time permitting, and then head over to Long Branch for a less crowded and rushed dinner option.

Idea two:

Park at Peanut Farm - which I detest with every fiber of my being but might be able to stomach due to the convenience and an okay beer selection - and do an out-and-back run on the Campbell Creek Trail, not sure which direction. (FYI: Peanut Farm is at International Airport and Old Seward.)

Departure time - 5:30? 5:45? 6pm?

Route length in minutes - 60? 75? Longer?

Tell me what you think on these points and we'll figure something out! Other ideas are also welcome!

Okay, folks, let's go with the same plan as last week:
5:30pm at Elmore. I still don't know where exactly we'll run.

We can negotiate run length, coordinate pace groups, and talk about the route once we're there, but I'd like to run 75min at ~8:30min/mile pace. There should be enough people for a group to run a shorter distance/slower. We can meet after the workout.

If we're able to start around 5:30pm, that should make things less rushed at Midnight Sun. (As a reminder, they stop serving at 7:45pm.)

    See everyone later!

I'll be a tortoise, combining fast walk/slow run (limited to 25 minutes of running). I'll go to either but am partial to Elmore/Coventry :)

I don't have a preference regarding time or location. Whatever ya'll decide will be great!

Really wish I could make it! Up north unfortunately for a little bit. The snow is already here...

Let me know when time and location have been decided...I don't get off work until 5:30 so depending on when and where I might make it.

I prefer Midnight Sun over Peanut Farm and a shorter run (60ish minutes) to a longer one. If you believe the lying liars at the Weather Service, it should be a nice day for a run.

I was just putting together another meetup to do Willawa Lakes to Ball Field Loop...with headlights. Then I realized...that'd be a good Friday Nighter! Next week maybe?
