The REAL Pub Run (First Friday)

Park on the east side of Delaney Park Strip between C and E Street. We'll meet by the Rink/Tennis Courts.

1) The goal is to make it to Point B (Anchorage Museum) right at 6pm opening for a speed tour of the music and exhibits. We'll show off our running attire to all of the curious onlookers.

The Museum has free admission from 6-9pm. Events going on that night:

If you're interested in missing the museum, we'll meet you out front at 7pm to begin the run to...

Point C (Riley's Pub; 1.3 miles away). Here we'll grab a drink, hang out for a bit, then run to

Point D (Bear Tooth Pub; 0.8 miles). We'll grab a drink, hang out for a bit (if our timing is right, and the selection is good, we could potentially see a $3.50 movie), then run to

Point E (Humpy's, 3 miles). We'll grab a drink. Hang out for a bit, and take things from there...

*If you have organizing privileges, I hereby grant you rights to change anything in this post, or request changes to what I have posted above. I am completely flexible with where we go, distance we run, etc etc. But I'd really like to make it to the Anchorage Museum beforehand :)

Hey! You were the reason we started talking about this in the first place!

Yeah well I had a lot of beer that night and all I remember was you asking me at the end...I didn't know I started this brilliant idea!! Sorry we just bought a house this week and have to finish moving out of the rental tonight and meet with old landlord. We're pooped and can't take running at this point. We'll try and meet up later and I will plan and host the next one!

Smoothly like a rhinoceros running through a field of flowers?

Like Pilar, I'm a little nervous about actually combining beer with running, but I will make an attempt. For those interested in stopping after the first bar, I might be joining you! Kenton - Can you confirm the ANC Museum is open after 6pm? Their fbook page says winter hours start tomorrow with closing times at 6pm... My guess is First Fridays are the exception but we should confirm.

6-9pm it's free. If you go at 5 you have to pay $15 or something.

And another thing: the distance from Reilly's and Bear Tooth is approximately 5 blocks! What about this instead: swing down from Reilly's to the lagoon to the coastal trail and then run north to F Street?

Hi, You have the location of Reilly's wrong... it's at Fireweed and C. Unless there is another Reilly's i don't know about!

I've never been there...I just typed in "Rileys" and the location popped up where it did. So it looks like we're going to Riley's Autoshop to have a drink. That's OK, right? :) I'll fix the map later
