Willawa Lakes Ski--14 miles

I have never stepped foot on Middle Fork Trail--in summer, or winter--so I have no clue what the skiing is like, but it looks like it should be fun. I've skied Willawa from Glen Alps numerous times, and it's great, but it's time for exploration.

For those not interested in going as far, you can stay on the Wolverine Peak trail after the Middle Fork turnoff, and branch off to Near Point to the end of the road. This gives you a 5 mile round trip ski, and a very gradual and fun decent. More advanced beginner skiers that are comfortable with balance would have no problem with this.

If you're snowshoeing, keep in mind that you'll be left behind from the group during the downhill portions.

Please do your homework. I'm not a guide, and I'm organizing this simply to give everyone a little nudge to get out and explore. If you're particularly fast or slow, and depending on the size of the group, I cannot guarantee someone will be there to keep you company, or show you where to go. If you choose to break off from the group, feel free.

It should be. We did Near Point after that last snowfall and it was packed down.
