It's a flow activity for me. Some of my best ideas are born on a long run; I like the meditative quality of running in nature. I like the lightness of the activity - no heavy gear to lug with me. LSD runs (long, slow, distance!) are my favorite.
Far North, Powerline, coastal trail, Bird to Gird, Homer, Fairbanks. I enjoy rolling terrain, but not too steep.
Late afternoons, early evenings, weekends.
