NOTE: This ski necessitates a car shuttle - we'll leave some cars at Prospect Heights and carpool up to Glen Alps to start from there. With the new snow I'd say 4WD/AWD is a good idea.
New snow! Let's ski from the Glen Alps parking lot to the Powerline trail and head downhill either along the powerline or through the "daisy chain" loops adjacent to the powerline. What's great about this ski is that you can choose from a few "bail out" points for the downhill, since each of these loops intersects the Powerline. Depending on conditions and preferences we can ski the Powerline or through the mixed forest of Blueberry Hollow and connect to the South Fork of Campbell Creek trail. This area can get some wind, and hopefully the snow will be good earlier in the day before it gets too warm.
Those who want more of a workout can start at Prospect Heights and ski up and then back down and we'll intersect on the way down.
Bring: wind gear (face gaiter, glasses/goggles, shell/jacket) skis, poles, leg gaiters, water, and dress in non-cotton layers.
Dogs: Yep to well-behaved ones.
