I will be changing the location for this meet up as water levels change
Also open to suggestions for new runs
This week we will go to Ft. Richardson take out. This stretch of water will consist of class 1 and class II+ water. You will need to get a permit online in order to get on base. The address is: http://www.jber.isportsman.net/registration/register-for-permit. Then we get our entry pass at the gate that evening. you should have knowledge of moving water, know how to eddy out and ferry a river.
We will meet at the main gate to ferry the cars.
EVERYONE on the float go to http://jber.isportsman.net/access , create your recreational access permit (RAP), and print it out. Park in the lot BEFORE the roadside guard shack, go into the house-sized gate building armed with your RAP, photo ID, and current registration and proof of insurance for all vehicles that will enter the base. The MP will take your photo and give you a day pass with your photo printed on it. Don’t be surprised if a Mr. Mark Sledge is mysteriously listed as “Sponsor” on the day pass. Next, go to ATM-like machine in same building and check in using the sequence number and the PIN printed on the RAP. Vehicles entering the base proceed to the roadside guard shack, and all occupants present day pass to guard. After float, remember to check out! either at the machine in the gate building again, or online.
A lot of the check in and out can be done over the phone
