Kincaid Jodhpur - Hike the Beach and Bluff Trails

This hike starts at the Jodhpur trailhead (not the Chalet!). We'll be out about 3.5 hours and go 6-8 miles. Our route will follow unmarked dirt trails that meander between sea level and 300 feet in elevation. Trails should be fairly dry, but be prepared for possible windy conditions on the bluff.

Note: We are using Jodhpur trailhead to avoid the Zombie Half Marathon.

DOGS: OK if they are well-behaved and under control.

DIRECTIONS: Access this trailhead from Jodhpur Street, between Kincaid Rd and Dimond Blvd.  Park in the large outer lot closest to the road. I have a green Subaru Outback.

With the prevailing southwest wind blowing over the active dune, we went around the back side to avoid getting sand in our eyes. After meandering down to the beach and following it to Pt. Campbell, we returned via the bluff trail and took a side loop down to the inland depression known as the "The Icebox". Thanks to all for coming out today! I will try to get in a few more fall Kincaid hikes before the snow hits. These will probably be on short notice (1 or 2 days), so I can find a good weather window.
