Good beginner trip, flat trails and no climbing.

• If meeting us at the Hotel please state that in your RSVP.

• Dogs: Ok

Meeting at
Carr's Huffman meet at the Starbucks coffee shop, and we can carpool.

We could do pizza and drinks at Chair 5 afterward if folks are up for that.

Very thankful to have made today's walk about up in Girdwood. Good trails and to see some/make some friends. So sorry for the man who passed in the car accident. Hope all made it home safe.

Those of us who made it to Girdwood had a nice hike out to the tram and stopped off for eats at chair 5 on the way out. Kept looking at the beautifully groomed new ski trail that parallels the first part of the hiking trail thinking I need to check that out. Trail was in pretty good shape, definitely didn't need snowshoes, some wore grippers some didn't. Tram is closed for the winter.

Very sad for the family of the man who died in the car wreck by McHugh today. Please use your seatbelts !!

We bailed before McCugh Creek. Bad accident, traffic stopped, we turned around to go back to Anchorage. Ambulances and fire/rescue going south lights and sirens, lots of them!

Just spoke to a lady from the resort who was out yesterday with her dog. She felt if you are on paved trails, ice grippers of some sort. If you are off trail either ice grippers or snowshoes which have grippers on the bottom should suffice.

I'm excited. I've been wanting to get out and do this for awhile. Then later will be the pub crawl for me

Ice grippers on your hiking boots may be a better option for this Saturday hike/walk. I think the drive down will be fine because it's supposed to be warm on Saturday and Sunday.

Hi I'm still new to Alaska. I like to meet new friends who do outdoor activities. Can I ride with one of you? I'll tip in some gas money.

Hi Ted! So long as we are all recovered from illness we would like to go. The RSVP does not allow more than +2. The whole family (4) and our Japanese house guest would like to go. I hope that is all right.
