April's First Monday Monthly Potluck- Packrafting with Roman Dial

Come join the fun with food, drink and fellow outdoor adventurers.

We do the set up and clean up ourselves, so please help with tables and chairs, emptying garbage, and vacuuming.

6 -7 PM Dinner and socializing. Bring yummy food and beverage (alcoholic or non) to share.

7 - 8 (or so) PM Packrafting with Roman Dial. Roman is a professor of math and biology at Alaska Pacific University and author of "Packrafting! An introduction and How-to Guide" which you can get for $20 that night. Roman will present stories, photos, and --  technology-willing -- videos of packrafting. He will focus on recent adventures in Mexico paddling Class IV whitewater; in the eastern Chugach doing classic backpack-rafting with an APU class; and in the Himalaya as part of international travel, as well as a brief description of his 30 year history with the boats.

Roman clearly has way too much fun... and it seems married a saint! Thanks Roman for the video tour and scores. White Rabbit and Sympathy for the Devil were original. Very engaging journey. Cheers to you and Meg for the program.

Roman's presentation was fantastic; a view into the life of an ultra-athlete. Thanks Meg for organizing this great gathering. Valerie, I'll contact you!

Whoever made the seafood chowder, it was fantastic! Bob, I want your cookie recipe! And Roman did a great presentation - I have a much better idea of what packrafting is now, and very humorous and entertaining. Thanks to Meg for organizing yet another fun event, and Jennifer for hosting.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
