3400 feet elevation in 2.5 miles, then a long ridge walk. Steep hike, great views, totally worth it! I plan to hike to the Overlook, which will take all day.
We'll gain 4600 feet and hike 13 miles. To finish this hike you'll need to be very fit. Although it's possible to turn around at the top of the ridge, you may be hiking back alone which is not recommended unless you're familiar with the trail and have bear spray.
Bring wind/rain layer, plenty of water (none will be available on hike) snacks and lunch, trekking poles, bear spray.
