Third Annual Poetry Reading at Jim's House

Jim's house (map)

Selected By: Veronica

Time for the 3rd Annual Poetry Slam at Jim's House. Jim is back in Alaska, briefly, and has graciously agreed to host the poetry reading again.

This is also First Friday, but there will be plenty of time to do both if one is so inclined.

Come to Jim's between 7-7:30 PM and bring an appetizer and beverage of your choice. We will do some socializing first, then listen to poetry starting at 8:00.

Bring a favorite poem or two to share with the group. If you don't want to read a poem that is fine,  just have fun listening. Jack and Nancy will be back reading some original works.

I looked around the room last night at all the people there, and reflected on the variety of life experiences they represented. And the poetry we heard affirmed it. A wonderful evening.

Another great poetry reading, with a wide range of known and unknown poets introduced to the group. The writers in attendance, as always, impressed with their talent! And in general, a great fun party. Thanks, Jim!

As usual Jim put on a nice meetup. Large group of at least 25 attendees. The poetry ranged from the serious to the funny. Some really good original poetry. Jim did some George Carlin which he cleaned up a little bit. All in all a good time.
