This will be just a standard hike up Flattop trail. I was up there last weekend and found the steps getting a bit buried and rounded in spots. Not enough snow to worry about slides, but slips and falls can still be painful so wear Kahtoola micro-spikes at a minimum.
The upper slope is in an "in-between" stage. The snow is too shallow to kick steps, or dig your heels in, but there is enough to make it slippery. I'll probably bring my long ice axe for the upper slope, but poles would do fine.
Dogs are welcome; I'll bring Luna and she is very social.
