Kyong, I hiked into Blacktails via the pond homestead trail and tried the valley trail up thru the alders last week and found the trail snowed in. I then tried the The ridge trail by the tower and found it very wind blown and hard packed. The best route seemed following the trail past the pond on to the north and up the sunny slope just to the NE of the pond.

It was nice meeting you today. The hike was awesome! I posted the pictures a few minutes ago!

Hi Kyong, I was planning to head back to Whitehorse, but now I'm thinking of a trip into Denali after doing the Chilkoot. I was wondering if you had any plans for after the hike in Denali?
