Introduction

Hi, my name is Ron.

If you had to choose, say 2 or 3 of your favorite outdoor activities, what might those be?

Backcountry backpacking.

When are you most interested in Adventure activities: after work, Saturday's, Sunday's, weekends, mid-week, other times?

I'm open to most options.

Where are a few of your favorite outdoor places anywhere in the world? Anywhere in Alaska? Any where in the Anchorage area?

Chugach State Park ranks very high both for what it offers and it's close proximity to home. Otherwise it is hard to play favorites, each place I've been had its own special magic. Perhaps to a large degree it depend on where I'm at at the moment.

How did you learn about the Anchorage Adventurers MeetUp?

Word of mouth going around in the outdoor circles.

    Full Moon Campout

    "In a word, cool! We met four guys from Chipn' Dales, who had a supply of alcohol for us all, so we just sat around in 40 degree temperatures (temperature inversion) shooting the bull this the wee hours of the morning. ..."

    Rabbit Lake Hike/ Backpack via McHugh Creek (day or overnight)

    "It was a very nice backpacking trip to Rabbit Lake. The weather was not as nice as we might have liked but it was still a very nice experience. We tried to scale South Suicide, but the scree was a little much for us. ..."
