John, Could you please Post 'Carpooling to AK Solar Tour to KENAI' & see if anybody from this group wants to join us to share the cost of gas & driving to Kenai & back from Anchorage, with our other meetup group. I forgot to put the link in the IDEA for a Meetup I just create. I think all you have to do is add the event to the calendar. AND PLEASE tell everyone at tonight's meeting. THANKS! Great to see your RSVP at the other meeting site. A few of us are going to meetup at 9am at Terra Bella's on Diamond if you want to join us, then carpool over after that. Last year we got done early (about 3pm), so I think you'll have time to make the very special B-day Party you were going to later :o) You can copy the other meetup group info to add a meetup group event for this group to join us if you want. Hope to see ya there!
Hey John, I don't see the REAP Monthly forum on the calendar to RSVP to, it or the co-meetup after party. Are you going to be putting them up soon. Thanks
hey John. I've been swamped, and was hoping we are having the monthly meeting again at your house. I know we talked about, and I think we decided it was at your place this month & then find another member house to keep it going around the group.
Will you be showing off some of the pictures you took during the Solar Tour? There was so much to see and learn, it would be great to get a recap. I know I will be late, but I will try to get there as soon as I can, like around 7:30pm.
I have guests at the lodge on the 7th, but will try to make it to Anchorage on the 10th. I want to see all the home energy efficiency improvements you have in progress.
hope you can make it John, you'll see yet another house in various stages of remodeling so you should feel right at home! lol
Hi John,
My favorite digital photography author is Scott Kelby. He has authored many photography books, DVD's and tuturials but, I especially like the three volume series entitled: "The Digital Photography Book." This series offers a photograph and one tip on each page. The book avoids the technical jargon and simply states each tip. They discuss camera equipment as well. "The Digital Field Guide" is written for specific camera models and is another excellent resource. Tina
A good training DVD is, "Blue Crane Digital." It's camera specific (call Stewart's Photo Shop or the Ritz Cameras Store). The Anchorage 2010 tourist catalog is out (free at the Visitor's Log Cabin or airport. They list tourist hotspots, wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. Crane viewing spots include the Palmer Creamory and hayflats. Nature's Best Photography magazine winners have their work displayed at the Smithsonian. Awesome tack sharp images. Hope these resources help. Tina
Hi John, it was nice to meet you tonight. Glad to see another semi amateur photographer in the group. It's been lots of fun to learn from others in the group.
Hi John!
I have never selt with National Semiconductor. However, They appear to have good equipment. I have a catalog available if you are interested. My LED's are 12 or 24v systems regulated by drivers or power supplies wired in series.
