Kickoff + Transitioning from Android to Glass

We will be having our first meeting on Feb 26th at 7pm at the DIG Capital One space in Tysons.

We'll start off by having some pizza, getting to know each other and then discuss what we want to talk about in future meetings.

Then we'll have a tutorial titled "Transitioning from Android to Glass" by Luis de la Rosa. This is meant for Android developers who are looking to start developing for Google Glass. We will discuss the differences between the two platforms. We will show you how to develop a new app for Glass as well as take existing Android apps and re-imagine them to fit into the Glassware ecosystem.

Food and drinks will be provided by Capital One.

Thanks again for coming everyone! I think we had a great first meeting, with lots of discussion and there seemed to be a lot of energy behind Glass locally.

Louie gave a great overview comparing mobile and wearables and then dived into how to implement live cards and immersions (and mentioned static cards).
