Dear all
Due to popular demand, we have created this public speaking club out of the extremely popular London Communicators Toastmasters club based in the Hilton Hotel in Angel.
Angel Speakers is one of 30 Toastmasters Clubs across London and more than 1,000 across the world!
At the club, everyone learns to speak by practice! The BEST and ONLY way to learn
The evening normally has two parts:
Impromptu speaking
===============
You are put in the spotlight and given 1-2minutes to speak on a subject that is given to you on the night.
Prepared Speeches
==============
You deliver a speech on any topic of your choice that you will have prepared beforehand. The time allowed for this is 5-6 minutes.
Feedback!
========
Feedback is the breakfast of champions and everyone who speaks will be given detailed feedback on what they did well, what they could improve on so that they keep getting better.
The Cost
=======
It's free to attend all meetings and you can even give an impromptu speech as a guest, but to give a prepared speech you have to be a member.
Membership fees are approximately around £100 per year (which is great value considering a 1 day workshop in public speaking is usually around that price)
How often do we meet?
=================
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 7pm (approximately twice a month).
Location
======
The location is usually at the Hilton Hotel in Angel, Islington.
Full address is:
Hilton Hotel Islington, 53 Upper St, London, N1 0UY
