Oppstartsmøte AngularJS Oslo

  • Jan 28, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Agenda:

When Two Forces MeetSirar Salih

AngularJS is largely growing in popularity among front-end developers. According to a JavaScript developer survey conducted in 2013, it was shown that AngularJS was among the top two most used JavaScript frameworks. In a world where there are close to 17 million MVC JavaScript framworks, this puts AngularJS on top of the game. On the other end, while not as widely used as AngularJS, TypeScript is slowly becoming the de facto compiler language for writing object oriented JavaScript. So what happens when these two major forces meet? A great power emerges! We know that with great power, comes great responsibility. In this talk, I show how these two forces can be combined to produce an ultimate web application. I also tease the audience by touching on the prospect of doing TDD and writing clean, testable AngularJS-TypeScript code.

Sirar Salih is an experienced .NET consultant working at Itera Norway. He loves holding presentations and has experience from talking at community meetups. He also actively writes blog posts at his .NET/JavaScript blog (http://sirars.com/).

Dispelling (some of) the magic of AngularJS - Dag-Inge Aas

One of the biggest challenges with AngularJS is trying to understand some of the magic under the hood. What makes it tick? In this talk we try to dispel some of the magic, so you can feel more confident when Angular takes control.

Ellers takk for feedback! :) Det vil bli mye mer innhold som nevnt over, fremover. Det er bare å glede seg!

Hola everyone, thanks for coming, sorry I could not get google+, working on chrome, on that win machine. But if you want to talk to Uri about the course or anything else just mail him on [masked]

HUGE creds to Sirar and Kenneth, awesome work guys and our sponsor Erik from N7 for a TON of pizza.

The geek porn I talked about is called Revolution OS, and should be a must see for anyone working in swd and specially if it is Open Source:

I think the idea of a AngularJS Hackaton is awesome and right into our values, so we take food on that one, if more here jump on to help out, so PM me or mail to [masked] and lets do it, and I have more geek porn to share to ;)

Første del var Dag-Inge Aas var helt ok, men andre del med Salih var waste of time for min del. Synes det ble altfor mye .net/TypeScript. Burde vært mer fokus på AngularJs. Rotete "foredrag".

    Mvh

We heard that some members were unsure how the Teknologihuset buildling looks like. I have now added a photo of the building, you'll find it under the "Photos" tab.

    Hello everyone,

5 days left until our first startup meetup. As Karl Erik mentioned in an earlier post, our goal with this meetup is to challenge members to hold a short talk or keynote about their experiences with AngularJS. We encourage focus on discussions between members and sharing experiences.

That in mind, we also have two topics that we would like to talk about. The first topic is "When Two Forces Meet" by Sirar Salih and the second topic will be announced shortly before the meetup. You'll find details about this in the meetup description.

    See you on the 28th!
