Consuming REST APIs with Restangular

  • September 16, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Most apps need to communicate with servers to store and share data, and many of those apps do so through Restful APIs. In this meetup, Martin Gontovnikas, author of Restangular, will demonstrate how the Restangular service provides easy, boilerplate-free REST API interaction.

Agenda:
6:30pm - Door opens, Food, Drinks and Socializing
7:00pm - Consuming REST APIs with Restangular (Martin Gontovnikas)
7:30pm - Q&A, office hours and socializing (Martin)
8:00pm - End

Find our office:
MuleSoft is on the corner of Grant & Geary, right above the Nespresso lounge! and next to many art galleries.
We don't have a sign outside, but if you walk down Geary Street, there's a glass double door labeled 77 Geary. Go inside and take an elevator up to the 4th floor. See you there!

Expected 630 soft start, trekked it here and was locked out.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Our soft start was at 6 pm, as noted in the comment thread below. Accordingly, we closed our doors around 7 pm. Contact me again before the next Meetup, and I'll be sure to provide some swag (or a bottle of wine?) to make up for this. Hopefully, you can catch the livestream tomorrow, or view the video at a later time.

Does it start at 6 or 6:30? The agenda says the door opens at 6:30, but elsewhere it says 6.

Whoops, good catch. Consider it a soft opening at 6 pm... we have everything set up now, so you can head over when you'd like. But the talk will begin at 7 pm.

I only learned about this today, so I wanted to get on the wait list, but I can't see anywhere to actually do that...

Is there a safe place to leave a bicycle? I didn't bring my lock with me today..

    September 16, 2013

    • Michelle K.

Yes, feel free to bring it up the elevator with you. We have the entire floor, so you can perch it on our bike stand or leave it in a room to the side. Good question

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
