Meatout Feed-in Philly Style! (Rain date March 25)

Our goal is to reach at least 500 people at a busy location near a college campus and a shopping district with samples of both pre-packaged and freshly prepared vegan food. In addition to packaged samples, we plan to offer bite size tastes of tofurky sandwiches, eggless salad, chocolate cake, chili, and chik'n strips. We'll also give out postcards inviting people to an upcoming screening of Earthlings.
We need volunteers to help prepare the food, give out samples, and promote the event.
Let's make this the best Meat-out ever to hit Philly and show people how easy and delicious it is to eat a plant-based diet!

Boe DeviActivist+1 guestExcellent experience. This was a good venue. There were people doing their Sunday morning shopping at the nearby drugstore and food stores. Lots of ped traffic. Pretty friendly environment including some Restaurant School students. People with their own shopping bags made excellent recipients of the vegan message. I was able to hand out about 100 vegan message booklets. Checked four trash bins near me and found only two booklets in the trash. As I handed out booklets, I was able to point to the free vegan food across the street that "Philly4Animal
s" was serving up. Several people crossed the street just to try the food. I would consider making this spot a regular stop for vegan education. I hope to attend the Earthling event in April. Thank you for arranging the event and for including me. I look forward to doing more on behalf of Farm animals. Boe
