We all know that puppies and kittens “need their shots,” but what vaccines should they receive? What about my older dog or cat, do they need to be vaccinated? How often? What diseases are we vaccinating against? Can an animal be over vaccinated? What are the risks and benefits associated with each vaccine?

We will present the answers to these questions based on the current recommendations of Veterinary Medical Schools and professional veterinary organizations like the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Each canine and feline disease that is vaccinated against will be discussed, along with which diseases have the potential to infect humans (such as Rabies).

Members will leave this meet-up feeling more informed and confident with regards to understanding the

vaccination needs of their pet.
