Introduction
My name is Marcy and I am the Founder of SaveABunny, a 501c3, nonprofit, animal rescue group. My husband Rob and I are both Reiki Masters and have been practicing Reiki for about 10 years. In addition, we do shamanic energy work and acupressure.
How long have you been practicing Reiki?
10 years
What level of Reiki have you learned?
Master teachers. Usui is our preferred style, though I recieved Karuna Master, too.
What type of fulfillment do you hope to get from being part of this group?
Healing for the animals we rescue. Building a supportive and kind community of people to create a positive reality. Healing towards animals in factory farms and used for meat, abuse and neglect cases and shelter animals.
Do you have experience with rescued animals (no required)?
Yes, we rescue over 300 rabbits each year---many of whom need rehabilitation, physically and emotionally. We also network with dog, cat, bird and other rescue groups for animals of any kind who need help.

Hi Marcy, I had a pet rabbit at age 18, (1972)Willow actually went to college with me, stayed in her large bag during class, then at break time she would come out and hop around the lawn and vist with other students, she would always find me again in the crowd, jump back into her bag and sleep till we went home. We family have had rats, cats, dogs, bunnys, we love em all.

Hi Marcy, I studied Reiki with a teacher in Palo Alto and a subsequent teacher in San Jose. The other energy work that I do does not have a formal name. I look forward to working with animals! Shelly

Hi Marcy - I have a question about rabbits in response to this invitation. Is a 450 sq ft studio too small for a pair of young rabbits to live happily? I ask because I was laid off from HP in Oct 2008, and to economize, have moved down the street to a small (but charming!) studio. My Penelope (age 13) and Oliver (age 10-1/2) seem to be thriving in it, but thinking ahead, I am wondering if I would be able to accommodate the next generation here for a couple of years while I rebuild wealth.

Hey Marcy, I am looking forward to it! It has been way, way too long! BTW, my Penelope turned 13 yesterday! She's amazing, as is her 10-1/2 year old big white pink eyed goofy boy Oliver! It's a good thing I am better with house rabbits than plants. :-)
