Fur-Bearer Defenders is holding a silent vigil for victims of the fur trade on November 3rd:
"This is a tribute to the non-human animals who have lost their lives at the hands of the fur trade, either as targeted animals, or as 'trash' animals (birds, endangered species, dogs and cats). We invite you to assemble with us, and honour their memory by publicly standing against fur.
- Don’t bring anything, all signage/messaging/literature will be provided.
- If possible, dress in dark colours.
- We will ask people to hold deactivated traps, photographs of animals commonly killed in traps (including some of the dogs and cats who have lost their lives over the years), and signs that share the disturbing truths the industry works so hard to distort.
- We encourage people to stay for the duration of the vigil, but welcome anyone who can come, even if only for a while."
