POLK COUNTY dogs need your help!!

  • December 31, 2012 · 7:00 PM

Calling all Polk county residents, and caring animal people!

Please contact Polk county and ask that they join cities throughout Florida and the country in passing anti chaining legislation.

This is how you can help:

1. Share this event with everyone you know who cares about animals

2. Contact the Polk county commissioners and ask that they make Polk county chain free.

Today there are animals that are live but not living. Animals that are outside but not playing. Animals that know sunlight but not warmth. They are isolated on chains as short as a couple of feet. These innocent animals are forced to endure the elements of extreme weather and a life of solitary confinement. A life sentence with no parole.

Over 200 cities and counties across the country have enacted ordinances banning or prohibiting the chaining of mans best friend, most recently neighboring counties Lake county in April of 2012, Seminole county in March of 2011 and Orange county in 2005. We hope that Polk county will make the compassionate choice and be the next county that is dog friendly and anti chains!
