Cinco de Mayo Mexican Potluck (Vegan)

This location is shown only to members

Let's enjoy the festivities of the day by making our own party!

We need to discuss the future State Veggie Fair and a few other items of business as well.

We have different films from which to choose if we decide to make this a film viewing day:

My Life As A Turkey - a man spends an entire year without human contact as he learns to parent 16 wild turkeys. What he learns about the individuality of other animals is an important message for us all.

The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill - a San Francisco musician becomes acquainted with each individual in a wild parrot flock that lives above the city. A heartwarming, quirky film with a delightful ending.

One Lucky Elephant (possibly) - the tragedy of using animals in the entertainment field and the misunderstandings that exist between species.

There may be activist training. Waiting to hear.

This will be a Mexican Potluck, so get your vegan enchiladas, tamales, and quesadillas ready. Vegan flan always welcome.

I have no idea what to bring. I don't know that I've ever made Vegan Mexican food! (Other than homemade salsa.)
Has anyone else said what they will bring?

How about homemade refried vegan beans? Or a big green salad with some vegan dressing (see Accidentally Vegan). Or just bring some salsa or some apple juice!

Go a head with the burritos, I think Char's was more of a filling or dip, but not sure. More is good!!

Watching films that reflect the human-nonhuman alliance is a wonderful thing to do with others who care about animals.
