Glad to be part of this group! Retired psychotherapist who is an abolitionist vegan and current animal activist with several blogs and a podcast. Hope to get a solid group of activists who want to get out in the community and help!
To develop a new paradigm that includes respect for natural world, allowing animals to live free where possible, and abolition of animal use. Hope to develop rescue training to assist local wildlife and domesticates during crisis.
Definitely; hopefully we will schedule one in the Spring or as soon as we have enough interested members.
Rescue training, shelter support, vegan outreach, abolitionist education, potlucks, vegan speaker's bureau, collaboration, support for animal activists and vegans, but emphasis on activism and becoming a vibrant voice in North Texas for the animals!
We are still in our infancy, but this meetup gave me renewed hope about future possibilities. There is a desire to get out into the community and help other people learn, to be disaster-prepared for the animals, and to make an impact on the animals. I hope people will consider this OUR group and post things as they see fit. It has been a privilege to meet other people who care about the animals.
