Hi All, I'm hearing some talk that some folks were disappointed with the walk. I'm sorry about that. In response to some of what I heard; the organizers didn't chose the walk route, the permit people did. Beyond our control, some people had to leave early so that meant more prizes for folks who stayed behind, which is a good thing for the winners. I asked the banner holders to lead the way through the farmers market, then go to the band shell, so our posters would be seen by more people, thus giving more exposure to the cause, which is helping Farm Sanctuary care for animals and spread veganism, but most walkers went straight to the band shell, which was find. I didn't tell anyone to shop, because I knew there was food and drawings waiting. If I did say anything about shopping, which I don't remember, I was joking. Please, if this post doesn't answer your questions or ease assumptions, feel free to send me a personal email and I'll be happy to answer your questions. CONTINUED BELOW....

Something else that you might now know is that this was the first time organizing this walk for Julie and Eliza. I wasn't much help with planning, because of work on VegFest, Anti-circus bus ad campaign, preparing for the circus demonstrations, and being out if town, among other obligations. I did do a great deal of advertising on Meetups and FaceBook pages I help run, and I helped the day of, as I promised I would. Plus, I baked cupcakes! I hope you got one! ;-) Having organized it locally for the past 10 or 11 years, I can say Julie and Eliza did a great job, especially for their first time. I happen to know they worked really hard on it. Of course we welcome help with future walks so please contact Farm Sanctuary if you want to volunteer to help make future walks the best possible. The animals need all the help they can get, so I hope we can all work together on bringing awareness to their situation. Thank you all again for participating! :-)

Thank you so much to everyone who attended! I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Sorry I didn't get to visit with everyone. I hope to see you all soon. Special thanks to my fellow volunteer coordinators, Julie and Eliza, for all their hard work on this event! It was a lot of work, asking for donations, email communication, etc, over the past 6 or so months to pull off this event. I'm very grateful for all they did to make it happen! Thank you to Michael for taking photos. I look forward to seeing them. All, if you took photos, please share them with us on here. I'm sorry for those who couldn't make. I hope to see you at a gathering soon. <3

Will there not be one in Denver this year? Seems like so much is held in Boulder, I was hoping there would be one in Denver since the awareness is so needed down here.

Thanks so much Ann. I know you work your butt off getting everything done and we appreciate it so much. I swear, we laugh and say you must have cloned yourself long ago and we just don't know it yet. We'll try to make it up to Boulder. The Farm Sanctuary Walk is always such a fun, important event :-)
