Attention Aurora Activists!
Please join HSUS to support the relocation of prairie dogs due to lightrail. Details below:
"Join us for a public meeting to discuss the prairie dog relocation, from RTD Light Rail Station at Iliff and I-225, to the 26,000-acre Lowry Range owned by the State Land Board in eastern Arapahoe County.
Agricultural landowners and ranchers have expressed their concern and general opposition for the relocation of prairie dogs within Arapahoe County. This public meeting will explain the rationale for the relocation of a small prairie dog colony, and will address agricultural landowners and rancher’s concerns.
Let’s spread the message that we support this relocation. This isn’t just about prairie dogs, but the animals that thrive on prairie dog colonies, like hawks, eagles, owls, ferrets, fox and badgers. So, if you would call yourself a wildlife conservationist, please attend this public meeting and let’s show the county commissioners they have constituents who care abut healthy wildlife populations for future generations.
RSVP today to voice your support for the relocation of these prairie dogs on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. Contact Lindsey Sterling Krank at [masked] if you have any additional questions."
