The US Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed removing gray wolves from the Endangered Species List across the nation. They are already off the list in the Great Lakes and Northern Rockies, but this would remove them even in parts of their historic range where they have not yet established a population (e.g. Colorado). Only the Mexican subspecies would remain protected. There is a need for those who support wolves and endangered species to attend this public hearing and submit comments on the proposal.
I'm sorry I haven't been coming to demos lately! I have no decent excuses, I've just been feeling burned out I guess, but I am still around. Anyway, I just found out about this yesterday and thought you all might like to know it was happening.
