The CU vegan student group, the Vegan Justice League (VJL), has a table at an upcoming event called the CU Sustainable Food Fair. Unfortunately, we are the *only* vegan table at an entire event dedicated to sustainable eating. Because this event takes place when many VJLers are in class, we are unable to get more than 1 or 2 of our members there at any given time.

We hope that the Colorado vegan community will be able to help us. We would love to have a strong, positive presence at this event, which reaches out to so many CU students. We are particularly excited about the fact that participation in our event is mandatory for many fraternity and sorority students, which is a demographic that we've persistently had trouble reaching out to.

I think this event will be rewarding because we will be telling a lot of young people about veganism for the first time. We hope to get several volunteers from the CO vegan community to help us plaster our vegan message across this event. Please join us! We are a positive, friendly bunch of vegan CU students who love to meet other CO vegans!

The event will take place next to the fountain behind the University Memorial Center building (other side of the Euclid Ave entrance). In the case of rain, the event will move to the Carlson Gym. I could give directions to these places, but Google maps would probably do a better job than I could.

I can help from 1-2. Are you familiar with Peaceful Prairie's literature that debunks the myth of so-called "humane farming". It would be perfect to have at this event. You can download it and print if from their website,

Tabling for animals is so rewarding! I hope some of our AAN folks will be able to go help out our friends with VJL at this event! Thank you for hosting this booth and posting it, Travis!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
