I hope you’ll watch this CBS video report at http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2012/12/04/tenth-bobcat-captured-from-one-frisco-homeowners-backyard/
It’s about a Frisco resident who wants all the bobcats captured and relocated away from where she lives. She’s already had 10 captured. Supposedly, this last one is on its way to Texas.
I guess I’m constantly amazed that someone living in the heart of bobcat, cougar, bear habitat could be so ignorant of the behavior of wildlife. The LAST thing a bobcat wants to do is have an encounter with a human. They are just passing through.
You can help by emailing the Colorado Dept. of Natural Resources at [address removed] and ask them to step up the education in Frisco, rather than relocate our wildlife to other states. Residents need to learn to live with wildlife, not move them out.
It would also help tremendously if you’d just post a comment on the article so that her proposal to the city council isn’t considered at all. We need to show them that the majority of citizens realize that living with wildlife is a privilege, not something to be eradicated.
Thank you for speaking up and taking action for these animals.
PS Please share this appeal with your network of friends, too.
