This group is about getting active for animals. Our calendar is generally used to post when we are going out to leaflet, do an information table, vegan pot-luck, rallies, dinners, Veg playgroup or otherwise educate the public about animal cruelty issues and animal advocacy. We also post fun events and events from other local animal groups.

We also have tabling events whenever a festival or other event comes to town where we can be a non-profit vendor. At these events we need people to staff the table. This is where people can pick up literature and be educated about factory farming and how to save farm animals from a life of suffering.

When college is in session we do leafleting at local colleges through Vegan Outreach's Adopt-A-College program. http://www.adoptacoll...

We're also focusing on restaurant outreach through http://vegtampabay.co... Click on "files" on the left of the screen to find the letter to use to send to restaurants. This will mutually benefit restaurants and vegetarians by increasing veg options and providing free advertising to those restaurants who choose to add compassion to their menus.
