UniverSoul Circus Protest

Please join Animal Rights Foundation of Florida [http://www.animalrightsflorida.org/] and local PETA supporters at a peaceful protest where we'll be speaking up for Nosey the elephant [http://www.peta.org/b/thepetafiles/archive/tags/Nosey/default.aspx] and all the other animals who are forced to perform in circuses:

Where: Please meet in the parking lot of the Hillsborough Democrats, 4221 N. Himes Ave., Tampa (See this map: http://goo.gl/maps/jm3LP)
Contact: Animal Rights Foundation of Florida at [masked]

The Liebel Family Circus, [http://www.mediapeta.com/peta/pdf/liebel_family_circus_factsheet.pdf] which leases Nosey out to other circuses, has been using and neglecting Nosey for years. She is suffering from a painful skin condition and needs treatment, yet she is being forced to perform for UniverSoul Circus [http://www.mediapeta.com/peta/pdf/Universoul-pdf.pdf] this week.

If you are unable to attend the protest, or even if you are, please join PETA in urging Universoul CEO Cedric Walker, Tampa Sports Authority President and CEO Eric Hart, and North Florida Fairgrounds Manager Mark Harvey to immediately cancel Nosey's appearances in UniverSoul's upcoming Tampa and Tallahassee shows.

I agree Gael. It's my observation that being all crowded around only one entrance where people already had purchased tkts was a missed opportunity. I stood alone on Dale Mabry, under a street light, where hundreds of cars passed by. Some honked, some made pos comments but I think w/more people holding signs there we cud have been more effective. Also, when I left I noticed there was a parking lot entrance on Himes Ave that no demonstrators were at. Organizers, make a note of that for next time. That said, wow, 20 animal lovers showed up for these wonderful animals. That was great. Thanks to all of you.

The protest went well. The protesters - wonderful! My only suggestion is that our signs will be easier to read if we always spread out leaving 15' or so between us. We will look like more people, too.

Trevor, Do you know if you have to pay to park in that lot? Do we need quarters? Or is it a free lot? Anyways, I'm going to try my best to make it up there in time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
